Local chef Brian Olenjack set to open Olenjack's Grille in Lincoln Square
December 5, 2006
ARLINGTON, Texas - Olenjack's Grille, the long-anticipated namesake restaurant of Executive Chef Brian Olenjack, is set to open January 2007 in Arlington's Lincoln Square. The ambiance is comfortable and casual, and the menu boasts dishes for which Olenjack has received much acclaim. Although the dishes are fine dining in quality, the prices are not. "I wanted to bring a fine dining experience to Arlington but I didn't want customers to have to pay such high prices for quality food," says Olenjack. "My goal is for my customers to have an experience here not just a meal."
The menu includes signature Olenjack dishes such as flash fried antelope ribs with jalapeno jelly and cornmeal crusted oysters with bacon & chorizo relish. Seafood specialties include the Texas cioppino, shrimp & grits, and cornmeal crusted catfish. Sandwiches, burgers and salads make Olenjack's Grille the perfect lunch spot for a business lunch or just a casual get together.
Olenjack, best known for his role as executive chef at The Chisholm Club Restaurant and Reata, has more than 15 years of culinary experience. The food is American but Olenjack adds his own unique twist on local and regional ingredients. "I'm using ingredients indigenous to Texas and surrounding regions," says Olenjack. "I incorporated my experiences from all over the country into a regional food that I think is what people are wanting."
Olenjack's Grille is located at 770 Road to Six Flags East just seconds from Ameriquest Field in Arlington. Outdoor seating as well as entertainment will be offered during the spring and summer months. Olenjack's will also offer private party space as well as off-premise catering.
"Arlington is a great place for us to start this venture and we are looking forward to serving the community food that they can't get anywhere else," says Olenjack.
